The ESTnet Next Generation (ESTnetNG) has been working in partnership with Cardiff University School of Computer Science and Informatics to help businesses secure talented individuals studying in Wales, for the industry in Wales. These distinct events are a great way to connect and build relationships between students and employers, testing both knowledge, skill and cultural fit between student and employer.
On 14th November, we began our 2018-19 events with the launch of Industry Speed Dating at Cardiff University. Students and employers exchanged 60 second lightning pitches to one another with the aim of making a powerful first impression.
Find out what employers had to say by taking a look at the event highlights video below.

Daniel, a Cardiff University student currently an intern at Atradius, highlights the importance of the work that the ESTnetNG and Cardiff University do in preparing students for the world of work.

“These events are a really good way of engaging with employers and really home in on where you want to work when you graduate.
