Tech businesses and Cardiff University's most promising new talent will meet face-to-face at the first ESTnetNG networking event of the 2019/20 academic year, Speed Dating.
This quick-fire event will provide an early opportunity to meet over 60 students in a time-pressured environment, who will put their self-promotion to the test with a 60-second pitch. Representatives of companies will also make 60-second pitches of their own, giving an introduction to their business and their own role within it.
With just a minute to make an impression, the emphasis will be on the student to develop and refine their personal pitch, promoting who they are, what motivates them, and why they would be suited to a particular business.
By attending the event, businesses will be providing students with a vital opportunity to meet with local industry and raise awareness of the vibrancy of the technology sector in Wales. It will also help develop the students’ confidence and networking skills. In addition, it offers the opportunity to meet a great number of students, many of which could prove to be ideal prospects for internships or graduate placements in the future.
If you'd like to attend this event, register via Eventbrite. Please note, these events prove very popular and priority will be given to ESTnet members. To avoid missing out on these events in the future, enquire about membership.
