The ESTnet and Careers Wales have been working together to bring you a series of webinars featuring talented ‘technology champions’ from the industry in Wales to inspire more young people to study STEM subjects and choose a career in Welsh technology.
Attracting the best young people to study STEM subjects is a huge challenge in Wales, particularly as our technology industry needs the best talent available if it is to continue to grow and compete globally.
Our programme manager, Xantia Salamanca Robins, has been talking to some of the brightest young engineers and technicians in Wales about their day-to-day jobs, their motivations, and why they love to work in tech. This series of six webinars will be made available to selected schools and then published on the ESTnet website to help young people understand more about the opportunities available in the technology industry and to support Welsh and academics and businesses in their drive to recruit the best young talent available and ensure a successful future for Welsh technology.
The series launched Wednesday 13th December and will continue in the New Year up until the end of March. Keep an eye on our website, follow the ESTnet on Facebook and on Twitter (@TheESTnet) for details!
