Tech Industry in Wales offers Quality Careers for Young People

If you’re in school, college, university, and thinking about a career you’d like once you’ve graduates, please consider the fantastic opportunities available in the technology sector in Wales.

A recent report into the industry carried out by the ESTnet on behalf the Welsh Government found that the industry currently employs over 39000 people and is focused to grow by 7% every year for the next few years.

The same report told us that there is a demand for skilled young people, with skills and recruitment identified as an issue among over 250 companies who took part.

The technology industry in Wales is also a ‘high value’ sector, contributing over £8.5bn to the Welsh economy, three times higher than the average industry sector contribution,. Its wages are also well above the UK average!.
